[v09.28.2026]Anissh Guruprasad
Hands on engineering, this is my passion. I'm a Computer Engineer at UIUC focused on embedded systems, robotics, and hardware/software co-design. I'm ready to take on a role where I can keep learning, contribute to real systems, and grow across hardware and software.

About
Engineering at the boundary of hardware, firmware, and computation.
I'm drawn to engineering problems that cross abstraction layers, from PCB design and embedded firmware to FPGA logic, software systems, and the interfaces that connect them. I am someone who strives to understand how the full system behaves: how power is delivered, how hardware responds, and how the software ultimately integrates with the physical system.
I've built a portfolio of projects and experiences across both hardware and software, and I'm looking for roles where I can use that breadth to work across system boundaries, contribute wherever the problem demands, and continue growing as an engineer.

Projects
Engineered systems, hardware designs, software packages, and much more.
Final project for ECE 385 (Digital Systems Lab) at UIUC. Created a hardware/software co-design using the MicroBlaze soft processor and a custom video rendering pipeline to implement a playable arcade-style Pac-Man game on a Xilinx Spartan-7 FPGA.
Currently developing custom hardware and software for a TFT display using dual RP2350 microcontrollers, one for driving the display and one for managing the display content and other peripherals. Planned for use in a custom keyboard project, with future applications in robotics and other embedded systems.
Developing a smart garage door controller using an ESP32 microcontroller, with features such as remote access, status monitoring, and integration as a Matter device with Google Home.
Designed and fabricated a custom PCB for controlling standard 3 and 4-pin PWM fans using a 555 timer and a MOSFET. The PCB is designed to be used in a custom fume hood for my soldering station.
Developing a Python library for VEX TM robotics to abstract the complexity of the VEX Tournament Manager software for other developers and event partners to easily develop custom applications for VEX TM robotics competitions. Additionally, developing a live streaming integration for VEX TM robotics competitions to allow for easier automation of live streaming and event management.
Developed a custom RFID-based attendance system for a student organization to automate attendance tracking and reporting. The system used a Raspberry Pi and RFID readers to scan RFID tags paired with a custom Discord bot to notify members of their attendance.
Learned how to design custom PCBs using KICad by designing a STM32G474-based custom PCB integrating encoder interfaces, RS485 communication, and power regulation, with Raspberry Pi communication for autonomous robotics applications.
